Which part of the current upnp-av implementation launches XBMC on my TV connected device?

I can't see it?

Cheers, Des.

XBMC can't launch itself if it is not already running...

This would be the same for UPnP or DIAL.

I'm far from an expert on this, after all, this is my second post on this board. The thing is, now I'm confused if this is supported or not. [1] [2]

Maybe a blog post about this in light of all the chromecast interest would be good. Hmm.

Maybe a plug-in? Having native support for casting to Kodi for free on Android would be great. For screen casting mainly. Would that be different protocol than DAIL?
