Win XBMC sound in background when playing video with external player
#1
Hello,

I've just finished the installation of my new HTPC but I have an issue with XBMC when I play video with an external player (MPC-HC in my case).
When I launch a video from XBMC, a sound can be listen (something like a bubble sound) quickly before the external player displayed the video. I my case this short sound is repeating in loop in background.
I think that XBMC is not reducing properly when the external player starts. The only way to suppress this sound is quit MPC-HC or stop the XBMC task in the windows task manager.

Is anyone with this issue have found a solution ?

Thank you.

Set passthrough device to wasapi and use v12.0.

Unfortunately it is not working :/

I tried different config in playercorefactory.xml but still the same issue.
If I can, I'll try to record an example.

^^ I had the same problem. I set passthrough and audio out device to wasapi, Also disabled the boost audio on downmix option. When using wasapi, external player won't get sound as the device is not released by 12.1. So use v12.0. I don't know if it is fixed in nightlies.

No it's not fixed it Nightlies, at the moment there's a lack of Windows dev's so currently there's no one working on fixing this.

Thank you it worked ! Smile
It was not the passthrough device to set on wasapi but also the audio device. (On v12.0)
