Win Low Framerate on HD content
#1
Hi,
I'm having a bit of trouble with XBMC on my windows box.
It's been fine playing SD content of different sources, Recently I tried some HD content, which results in a very poor framerate.
Here's the XBMC Debug log for me playing the first few seconds of this video.

Here's the mediainfo for the video file i'm trying to play.

This video has played just fine using XBMC on my ATV2, but that's out of action at the moment. It also plays OK in vlc in this PC.

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

It's most likely your audio settings, to prove try the most basic settings which are:

Audio Output: Analog
Speaker configuration: 2.0
Audio Output Device: Directsound Device*

* Where device is the connection type e.g. HDMI

If that works then your previous audio settings were incorrect, if 5.1/7.1 is needed then take a look at http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=146911 to find where you were going wrong.

That's great, it works now!!!

Thanks so much.

As i'm only using the TV speakers and have no surround setup yet i'll leave it at that for now and will revisit when I get a proper surround system.

Thanks again.
