Are AMD APUs still a bad choice for Linux?
#1
Hello. I was thinking about building my first XBMC box with one of the new Richland APUs because they have pretty good Radeon integrated graphics. But, I just read that there were problems with the fglrx drivers for these on Linux (my desktop has a 7850, and I haven't noticed any problems with fglrx). Is this still the case? If so, what would be a comparable Intel alternative? I don't care so much about the form factor as much as I do about fan noise, so a quiet discrete card would be ok with me.
