Has anyone come across an issue where XBMC freezes or hangs when exiting back to Ubuntu 12.04 ?

I have read it may be related to a youtiube add-on, which is not installed. Same ghoes for the skin - I am using Confluence as well other skins, and it freezes on all skins

I have even uninstall all the add-ons and . . . yes, it still freezes

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Sure, start by looking in your debug log (wiki) to see if there's anything there that may indicate what's hanging XBMC when you exit the application.

It turns out an add-on called Watchdog was screwing up my system. Funny thing is that the add-on works without issue in Windows 7.

Must have a love-hate relationship with Linux (ubuntu)
