My "unhelpful at best" comment, honestly was not directed towards you. I said the comments in this thread. No where in this thread does anyone come close to what you said. And to be fair, I tried what you said to do, and PTVL wouldn't even populate my Live TV stations at all anymore. But regardless, your idea was what led me to finding out my solution, which was reversing your instructions basically.

I'm not trying to "take credit", I'm just posting this since no one else has posted it, and the instructions IN THIS THREAD are unhelpful at best. The messages you sent me are NOT in this thread... so no one has access to them. Regardless, your instructions didn't work for my setup, so that's irrelevant anyways.

I'm just saying you can contribute (and I'm encouraging you to do so), without taking shots at people that tried to help you, irregardless of whether their "help" was the ultimate answer or not. Every contribution was a step toward the same end goal.

EDIT: I think you post would make an excellent guide and should be linked on the first page, but I don't see it happening with all the "don't listen to other people" and "other people are wrong and unhelpful" sentiments scattered throughout.

That's frustrating. One guy even told me to sell my setup since I couldn't figure it out from information he posted.... when that information wasn't relevant to my setup.

On another note, as of now the easiest way to check for updates to the community list is to click the link on page one and look at:

a) Under "Source" and "Browse", the dates of the last revisions.

b) Under "Source" and "Changes", the change logs.

I know when I make revisions I try to provide detailed change logs of what was added/removed/moved.

As for adding new sources without autotuning, if you open the individual files it will give you all the variables to set up your own settings2.xml entries. To be honest, while I contribute fairly often to the community list, I rarely ever autotune myself as I find I have more control manually setting things up. Another good technique may be to autotune and then copy/paste the entries you want into a blank settings2.xml.

Those are not jabs man... seriously? I'm saying the instructions in this thread say to do X, Don't do that as it's either not ideal, or flat out won't work...

And the changes I made say the same thing without calling everyone else "pointless" and "useless".
