Req Select any video type in smart playlists
#1
In the wiki, it is specified that only movies, tvshows, and episodes specifically are the types that can be selected when creating a smart playlist. However, due to the question here (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1481847) not all episodes of a particular show are recognized.

What I am requesting is that I should be able to use the following code (from the UI or directly editing the .xsp):
Code:
<smartplaylist type="video">
to match any and all video files that are found by the specified rules. If this is not a viable feature, please refer to the question I have linked above so that I can get all my video files in those folders to be listed as episodes.

Thanks in advance Smile

Create nfo files for your video files not recognized. Make them either movies or episodes, then your smart playlists will work. You expect an XBMC code change because you will not properly prepare your files for XBMC?

Thanks for the help, but I don't expect anything. In all honesty what I'm requesting is not a complicated implementation.

For anyone who comes across this thread and doesn't know what format the nfo files should be in: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFO...tvepisodes

EDIT: it hasn't worked, XBMC still has not recognized those files.
