I was wondering if there was a way to get some of the new updates from apple without updating the firmware itself. I am on an untethered 5.2 but would like some of the new features such as watchdisneyjr, watchdisney..etc. Those apps seem to be getting blocked by nito tv or something to that effect. I can install plex connect i suppose but xbmc kicks plex in the hairy bean bag in my opinion. I already updated one apple tv to ios 6.0 and its pretty sweet except for missing xbmc.
