Hello, totally useless at all of this, bought a mx android tv box but can't seem to find any live sport on it anywhere. Under live tv I get pvr not enabled message?
Under video all I can find is poor streams of 'foreign games that aren't 16:9 like the tv is this as good as it gets?
Am I doing something wrong?

XBMC doesn't provide any content itself. XBMC is just a player and showcase for your media. You need to provide content from local files, streams, or video add-ons.

Chances are that whoever sold you your MX box preloaded some add-ons. Chances are, you'll need to ask them about it, as they probably violate the XBMC.org forum rules (wiki) on pirate video add-ons.
