Hey Everyone, long time XBMC user (since the original Xbox days), first time poster.
My latest setup is a Core 2 Duo 1.8ghz, 1GB ram and a GeForce 9300 GE. I have absolutely no issues with video playback, it's perfectly smooth, even when playing a Blu-Ray. My issue is with the sound over HDMI. I used to use this video card in a different machine, and what I've found out is that this card doesn't natively support audio over the HDMI. It has a spdif connector on it that requires a cable to run to the sound card or motherboard which will give it audio. This motherboard doesn't have anything like that so my only option with this video card is to get a sound card that has this capability, but I would prefer not to go this way.
So my question is, does anyone know what the cheapest PCI-E low profile video card is that has audio capability built in?
