Why there isn't reviews of this box running xbmc, i dont get it. Woudl appreciate some feedback about the celeron processor it uses. Could be enough to put windows and install xbmc and expect to play anything i throw at it or at list normal brrips nothing exentric, mkv, avi, mp4 formats oh and few .iso (concerts).

Shuttle is a great brand, specs are really good, no ir though? Just not sure about the procesor

New version is out, this time designed for home use.

If you go by this thread, which has an older Celeron processor, it seems this one would cruise along just fine. In fact, this CPU is right now my first preference for my own HTPC since it uses very low power.

As far as the Shuttle build goes, $230 without memory is too much. If you see my thread, you get the same config including memory well under $200.

$200 is not too shabby for a fanless setup.

Thanks for the feedback, I checked the BIOSTAR mobo but the shuttle one has more I/O ports like dual display, dual lan, dual USB 3.0 (BS mobo doesn't have 3.0 USB) and vesa mount . the extras are nice .

Why don't they release Baytrail boxes?

I really respect Shuttle products..

Have been using some of their fanless boxes..

they cost more, great build quality but really hard to compete an 2820 nuc..

Again no IR...
