Gotham Not Adding New Files to Libraries
#1
Am using Gotham 13.1 on Windows 7 machine.
Using Watchdog add-on to automatically scrape new shows/movies.
Have my 'Movies' and 'TV Shows' libraries setup to only use local .nfo info, generated by Media Companion.

Movie files are in
Bitcasa>My Movies>Movie Folder (year)>movieName.mp4.

TV Shows are in
Bitcasa>My TV Shows>SeriesName Folder>Season Folder>episodeName - S01E01 - Name.mp4

Pretty basic setup (I think). Here's how I add new files to XBMC (usually):
  • Rip TV Show/Movie onto my local disk (fastest)
  • Re-name file to appropriate conventions (using FileBot)
  • Upload to appropriate Bitcasa folders
  • Run Media Companion to get all the artwork & stuff.
  • Run XBMC

And everything is fine. But, occasionally, I forget and accidentally do it out of order:
  • Rip new movie/tv show, on local disk.
  • Rename it.
  • Upload to Bitcasa.
  • Accidentally run XBMC. Oops.
  • So I quit XBMC, and run Media Companion to add artwork/.nfo.
  • I then re-run XBMC.

Now, the new TV Show/Movie is NOT added to my library, either 'Recently Added' or otherwise.
I can still access the show via navigating through the file structure, but I want it to appear on the homepage all nice 'n' pretty like.

Questions
1. How can I add those shows/movies to my library that XBMC has already "ignored" and refuses to add?
2. Anything I can do to prevent XBMC in the future from skipping over those I add when I accidentally do out of the good order?

I would try this without media companion, which is really only needed if you want to modify the downloaded data before XBMC scans it in. At the very least, that would rule out an issue with the generated NFO files.
