ok, got myself a softmodded xbox and it's setup as:

(dashboard files default.xbe & xboxmediacenter.xml) c:\fonts\dashboard\ (xboxmediacenter.xml used <home>e:\xbmc\</home> in the old install)

xbmc was installed to e:\xbmc\

now, with this new shortcut setup how am i to install xbmc as my primary dashboard without screwing everything up?

just put the shortcut xbe where your old default.xbe file was (ie named the exact same thing) and put e:\xbmc\default.xbe as the path in the default.cfg file that accompanies it.

then put all of xbmc in e:\xbmc (including the xbe)
