Mostly I'm just playing around seeing how the skins work, but specifically I am trying to make the make the fanart background more prominent by removing the poster and info text next to it. That part was pretty basic, I just hide those groups by adding a visible is false node. If I got really ambitious I was gonna try adding an option to the left to toggle those parts or make a separate view.

The images covering the background are in IncludesBackgroundBuilding.xml and are called logo_back.png, side_fade.png, and the last is back-black.png. Removing all three will make the list hard to see.

Funny enough I just found the references in IncludesBackgroundBuilding.xml myself not five minutes ago... and yep the list was hard to see without side_fade.png on, but turning off the other two was exactly what I wanted! Thanks for the help

Been using your mod, and it is fantastic. I mostly lurk, but I do have a question. How difficult would it be to add a "Record Series" button to the PVR? I need this to sell my wife on cutting the cable cord. I think some other skins do that, but I'm not interested in changing.

To my knowledge universal support for that is not yet in Kodi so it is up to the PVR addon creators to implement it. The amount of clients available and also if they support it is too much of a time investment for me to do.

I am using ServerWMC as my PVR server and client. If I switch to the Confluence skin and select a program from the EPG and create a timer, it asks me if I want to record the series. Then I switch back to your mod and in the timer list it indicates "serieseries name". So if it works in ServerWMC, I think there is code in Confluence that could be placed in your mod to look to see if the PVR someone is using supports the series call.

The reason it works in confluence is because in the addons resources folder (pvr.wmc) there is a skin folder with the xmls needed for that functionality. There is no code in confluence itself. I hate to be blunt but I have no interest in dealing with that at this time, there is talk of it being unified and added into core, but that has yet to happen. Once I add one what do I tell the next person who uses a different PVR backend? Changing to confluence or opening wmc itself and setting up your series, at least to me, does not seem too much trouble. If anybody else would like to make the xmls I will include them but for now I do not have the time or motivation to add this.

I seem to have missed something. After installing your skin and using ShowCase view, my movie sets doesn't have the discs rolling in. Those that aren't in movie sets have the discs rolling in but all of them just have the generic blue one. I have the same issue with the MusicOSD mod with the handwritten CD the only one showing

You have to download the disc art using the Artwork Downloader. Disc art is not enabled by default. Change the add-on settings and run the downloader again. The titles that have disc art will popluate.

As for music, you need to use the cdArt Manager to download CD art. Not as many albums are supported on the music front, but this is the best way to add CD art to your collection. As a disclaimer, you must have the correct matching Musicbrainz ID and Album Artist for all tracks in an album for the cdArt Manager to find items to add to your collection. Music scraping is much less reliable and automatic than movies or TV Shows

Ever since I installed the skin, it has no background art showing (it's all black) Now if I go to Movie - sub menu Genres, I have no fanart backgrounds. For example, if I go to Action genre, I thought it would grab an Action movie fanart as a background. Have I got this wrong? Do I need to turn something on?

If it shows black everywhere you need to setup the main menu in skin settings and choose a background for each menu item. The genre fanart is chosen in skin settings > extras so just set the path to a folder with the genre images in them (there are packs available on the forums). If you still have an issue check that script.grabfanart is installed.

After doing this for your movie sets you have to click on the set and you will have the sets listed (ex. part 1,2 etc.) then you will see the discs rolling when you scroll from one to the other.

Hi Mike where can i change the position of the CEC notification on startup?
I have add a intro Kodi movie... and now the CEC notification is right in front of the Kodi logo.
If i can move it a little bit above its oke... just like in de amber skin.
