Code:<advancedsettings>
<splash>no</splash>
</advancedsettings>
Copy that, paste it into a new txt file with notepad or a text editor of choice and name the saved file "advancedsettings.xml". Place it in your (Windows) AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata folder and then start Kodi to see if the splash is still there.
This method didn't work for me I think it was the text document format I tried to use. What I ended up doing was copying one of the other xml files and then renaming and changing the text within to the above code that finally got it working thanks again. I love SPMC just not a fan of the artwork I think kodis artwork looks much more professional now I have the best of both worlds
