Since PVR is being worked on, I will suggest a nice OSD feature Titan skin has that makes it very clear how to control timeshift.

An OSD Text indicator for how much time are you moving in the timeline.  Here are some screenshots showing how the OSD changes with EACH tap for going back in time.

Tap 1 more time (3 total)



This way is so clear how much time back and forth you are shifting when tapping. 

IMO the word "Seeking" as is unnecessary, and the center of the screen would be better for placement.

Just moved to Leia and was shocked to see Aeon Nox 5 wasn't available. Luckily, I found this this skin which is awesome. The only thing really that didn't do it for me was the Video OSD. Firstly, the OSD menu appears to the bottom of the screen which makes it difficult to test different subtitles (you have to exit the OSD every time you load a new subtitle because the OSD is blocking it). In the original Aeon Nox 5 the OSD is on top of the screen and for a good reason. Secondly, the original skin had a separate submenu for choosing a subtitle file. This meant that you could choose a subtitle in three pushes of a button (OSD -> Subtitles -> Subtitle file). While in terms of logic I appreciate you combining this menu and the menu for adjusting subtitles as one submenu, this adds another step to the subtitle process. I wouldn't mind it so much but usually most of the subtitle files are out of sync and can be a pain to get in sync and so it really starts to get bothersome when the process requires going through different menus.

Using Aeon Nox Silvo for a few years now and it's awesome.  Currently running on Leia Beta (Corelelec) and have 2 issues which may or not may not be skin issue.

1) I set viewtypes to be Tripanel in my add on but it only 'sticks' for the first page of listings.  Every time I go to 2nd page it reverts back to 'list' default.  Any way I can set this in ANS?
2) When displaying trait episodes in my add on, first view correctly shows all viewed episodes.  When I exit and re-enter, viewed episode data is missing

Any ideas?

1) Skins only regulate Kodi implemented view related stuff - addons usually have their own view settings where you can adjust the default wall/list behaviour. Like the Amazon App for example:

2) I assume u mean the addon 'Trakt' - sorry no answer for that since i never used Trakt at all.

Hi,

I am beginner in Kodi and love this skin. However, I would like to have the following two things:

1: In the Skin 'iFlat' on my Vu + Duo2 the video OSD is transparent like the following screenshot shows. Info: The transparency is also on the black area, but the screenshot does not show it.
How can I adjust this with Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO?



2: I would like the video OSD to disappear automatically after five seconds. I found this thread, but as a beginner I do not know how to do that:

Hi mikeSiLVO.

I see you have a new release.  Thank you.  When I start KODI, it says update failed still.  It has simply never automatically updated and worked for any updates now or in the past.  Fwiw, I'm using the latest LEIA nightly.  Also, 'Next aired' for TV shows as a main menu widget still does nothing.  I can add it as a submenu item and enter it but as a widget... it does nothing.  Yes, 'next aired' is installed and enabled or I couldn't access it via the submenu and yes it does work as a shortcut although I expected more out of it tbh.  Hopefully as a widget it's richer if I can even get it as a widget.  Fwiw, dependencies suggested in skin settings are installed and I assume are most recent versions.

Here again is another debug log.  I will attempt a manual update using 'update all add-ons' in the KODI GUI which will fail for the only available update - this skin.  Fwiw no VPN or any other possible interference present.  I will navigate to my main menu item TV Shows where the Next aired widget should appear but doesn't.  I do see references to skin helper widgets errors in the debug log and next aired shows it is installed.  I also see errors for EXCEPTION: Unknown addon id 'skin.aeon.nox.silvo'.  http://paste.kodi.tv/vomisabuvu
 
I won't manually update the skin until you reply so I can give the auto update another go at it provided you do reply and have any suggestions.

@brazen1 The update process on Windows has issues. It is either a Kodi or Windows bug. I linked to some dev discussions in a past post.

You can try a couple of things to get around it:

1) Switch to Estuary before starting the update process
2) Try disabling your anti-virus or any other running processes that could be locking the update zip file and try to install again.

VPN would have nothing to do with Windows locking the zip file so it cannot be that.



The next aired Widget is now also not working for me so I will have to take a look and get back to you.

Can you add this Widget and post a new debug log after a Kodi restart and navigating to the menu item with this Widget enabled?

Hey Mike.

Thanks for replying so quick.  Version 6.1.7 auto installed!  Turned on VPN, AV off, Estuary loaded, restarted KODI, chose your skin and shows 6.1.7 in use.  Not sure if the AV off (I would have got a notification of the block and I unrar/unzip plenty of stuff with no problems) or selecting Estuary did the trick but I'm leaning toward updating through Estuary.  Thank you for the suggestions.  You're a 'good egg'.

btw, is the changelog on the front page Modifications/Changes:?

To be clear, I'm keeping the (next aired) widget install that doesn't work as widget one.
I've installed widget two per your request (next airing episodes).  Same as next aired - nothing displays.
Turned debug logging back on.
Quit KODI.
Start KODI.
Navigate to my main menu item TV Shows (pause for a few seconds to give it time to load) where each of the widgets should appear but nothing does.
Capture debug.
Quit Kodi.

@brazen1 The modifications and changes in first post is very old, I probably should just remove that section. I added that originally to show the changes from OG Aeon Nox 5. I stopped updating that a long time ago and that is why the last line is "And many more..."

The easiest way to view a "changelog" is to go to the add-on info for the skin and choose What's new:



I am only seeing the error with the non-working TV Show Next Aired Widget. Can you remove that Widget and post another log so I can see if there are different errors?

Using MyFlix view in Movie Sets, I simply uncheck 'fanart' in the backround tab within the GUI.  No more fanart.  No idea about other views though.

Thanks again @mikeSiLVO for a great skin. I have updated to the latest version of the skin on Leia RC5 and have only one issue.

The menu bar always reverts to the low position on reload. I save in the central position, and it moves there, but on restart is always back at the bottom. Never had this issue before - any ideas?
