Release Aeon Nox: SiLVO
How can I delete the word 'seeking' in the Video OSD while seeking? I just want to see the jump time (e.g. +10, +30)?
I think the word is not necessary and you maybe could delete by default in the future? I think it is sufficient to see the time jump, e.g. +10, +30, -10, -30.

One further thing:

If I use two rows of widgets with the panel label style 'show on panel', the first row does not show the label style because it is covered by the lower one. Either the lower row should be lowered or the upper one set higher.
Besides, I would like to remove the folder name where the widget entries are from (here: DAZN - CATCH UP & HIGHLIGHTS). At the moment, you have to give a name which is shown below the widget. I think a lot of people would like it to have just the images with the panel labels.

When in the movie (or TV episode) list, pressing right will go to the scroll bar first. I don't use this functionality myself, but it's not a nuisance. Pressing it again blanks out the list to display the fanart. I would like this second press instead to open the information panel for the highlighted movie or episode. As a final modification, I'd really like to be able to close the information panel and return to the list by arrowing back to the left from the left-most item (the icon which plays the file).

I always prefer navigating via arrows when possible and this just feels like natural/intuitive change to the flow of moving around in the Silvo skin for me. Is it possible?

Shouldn't be to hard to mod.

In DialogVideoInfo.xml you need to change the onleft for the "grouplist" id="9000" to:
Code:
<onleft>Dialog.Close(movieinformation)</onleft>

For the views I would modify the "button" id="4400" in MyVideoNav.xml and delete the onfocus that sets the fanart property and change:
Code:
<onfocus>ActivateWindow(1113)</onfocus>
to this:
Code:
<onfocus>ActivateWindow(movieinformation)</onfocus>

Pretty sure that will do it...

Till now I have been meticulously searching and adding Studio icons and even contributing new/updated logos to the Studio Icons repo. However, as my library grows I am finding it increasingly difficult to hunt down obscure logos or update the logos that have changed. Also, some studios are now defunct and it doesn't make sense to display their logos anymore. It is also a bit of a chore fixing manually when there's not much information regarding the production studio (that's the studio I prioritized with the logos) or the scraper adds one of the other studios (distribution studio or another studio which worked on the movie).

Sorry for the long explanation above. I am looking for an option somewhere to hide the studio logos/text. Is that something that is doable?

Thanks!

I have been toying with the idea of removing some of the media flags like aspect ratio and source/codec as they are starting to feel useless but I am not sure...

If I ever do I will add an option to hide studio labels and icons. If you'd like to mod it yourself it should be pretty easy.

Search for <!-- MEDIAFLAGS --> in MyVideoNav.xml and either delete all the groups for the icons or add a <visible>false</visible> tag to each group. The sections are commented for which views they appear in.

Example group:
Code:
                        <control type="group">
                            <left>85</left>
                            <control type="image" id="911">
                                <include>MediaFlagValues</include>
                                <texture>$VAR[PathFlagsStudios]$INFO[ListItem.Studio,,.png]</texture>
                            </control>
                            <control type="label">
                                <width>135</width>
                                <height>90</height>
                                <align>center</align>
                                <label>$INFO[ListItem.Studio]</label>
                                <font>font10</font>
                                <textcolor>grey2</textcolor>
                                <wrapmultiline>true</wrapmultiline>
                                <visible>String.IsEmpty(Control.GetLabel(911))</visible>
                            </control>
                        </control>

For fullscreen video playback do the same thing but search for <!-- Media Flags --> in Includes.xml it is the group with this <visible>!String.IsEmpty(VideoPlayer.Studio)</visible> in it.

Not too sure if this is a bug or intended behaviour.

Using movies as an example the movie info screen when you access via a widget does not have same settings as when you access via main menu.

E.g blur background setting. Does not blur when you go into information via a widget but does if you go via main selection.

It works for me but I have experienced a black background on occasion and I think it could be a bug in the colorbox script or it could just be some weirdness with the way Kodi loads DialogVideoInfo when in the Home Window. Sometimes after waiting it will eventually appear and other times it needs a Kodi reboot not sure what I can do about it though.

What other things don't work?

I know some extras don't and that is why they will not appear when on the home screen. The ones hidden just won't work correctly.

To delete the word seeking you need to edit the "SeekLabelVar" and delete the $LOCALIZE[31046] from the value tags.

The position issues should be fixed on git now.

If you don't want a label you should be able to delete the default one and add a space then it should not display any label.

See this screenshot:
Ideally, I would like to have these preview images on the homescreen while one of these addons is playing and I navigate on the homescreen menu.

I can't see anything wrong with the display of images. Those addons may not be displaying them and the widget images are not the same as the now playing ones.

If you want me to test the DAZN/Zattoo addons you would need to PM me a username/pass to be able to do so. Not sure if I even can though since it looks like it is for Switzerland, Germany or something and I live in the U.S.

It now does open the dialog by going right and close by going back left, but the info dialog is blank. It shows a NR rating, but everywhere that should contain data points is blank. This is the case on movies, tv shows and individual episodes.

Opening up the dialog in the old method still closes by going left.

Thank you so much for helping me with this!

Right, that makes sense. Silly me, you're focused on some random button calling the information window so Kodi has no idea what to display.

Try adding <onfocus>SetFocus(50)</onfocus> above the <onfocus>ActivateWindow(movieinformation)</onfocus> so:
Code:
<onfocus>SetFocus(50)</onfocus>
<onfocus>ActivateWindow(movieinformation)</onfocus>

Hopefully that works Huh Undecided

EDIT: If that doesn't work try using an alarm clock instead:
Code:
AlarmClock(Open Info,ActivateWindow(movieinformation),00:00,silent)
AlarmClock(Open Info,ActivateWindow(movieinformation),00:01,silent)

Try the 00:00 one first so there is no delay and if that doesn't work try the 00:01.

Still no luck...

I assumed you wanted me to ditch the new SetFocus(50) and replace the ActivateWindow below it with the code you specified. Is that correct?
Reply
No you NEED the SetFocus(50).

Try each of the alarmclocks instead of the ActivateWindow.

Tried both and still no luck, but I did notice something! I can definitely see the Alarm Clock doing its job in highlighting the movie/show, but it was still blank. I then opened it the old fashioned way (which worked). After that when I tried with the new method it always opened the dialog with that movie I selected the old way. Even when I went over to a TV show, it still opened that same movie's information page. I hope that helps!

Post exactly the code you used cause I just tested it and it’s working.

You are reloading the skin or restarting Kodi after each change correct?

I do a full reboot after each change.  I also commented out the unused stuff rather than delete it, though I assume that doesn't matter
Code:
               <control type="button" id="4400">
                        <include>HiddenObject</include>
                        <!--<onfocus>SetProperty(Enable.FullscreenFanart,True,Home)</onfocus>-->
                        <!--<onfocus>ActivateWindow(1113)</onfocus>-->
                        <onfocus>SetFocus(50)</onfocus>
                        <!--<onfocus>ActivateWindow(movieinformation)</onfocus>-->
                        <onfocus>AlarmClock(Open Info,ActivateWindow(movieinformation),00:01,silent)</onfocus>
                        <onleft>50</onleft>
                        <onright>50</onright>
                        <onup>50</onup>
                        <ondown>50</ondown>
                        <onclick>50</onclick>
                </control>

You're right it wasn't working. I thought it was but it was just doing what you said and I just didn't realize I clicked the info button before testing... Angel Confused

This does work!!

Change the AlarmClock to
Code:
<onfocus>Info</onfocus>

So full working code should be:
Code:
            <onfocus>SetFocus(50)</onfocus>
            <onfocus>Info</onfocus>

Thanks for the reply. I will try the changes you suggest but I guess any changes that I do would be overwritten with the next update?

As for removing some of the UI elements - I kinda agree with you. Removing some of the elements/flags will help the minimalistic look - maybe have a menu item for technical details but remove them from being the "always visible" items. Or just give users the choice to select what individual elements they want to display. I would love to help add these features but I would need to do some digging, reading and lotsa help from more knowledgable ones here.

I think there is a problem with $INFO[Player.Title] while playing an internet stream (from the DAZN addon) from a widget.
The time in the middle and both times in the right corner are there, but the title in the left corner is missing. However, when I play streams from a directory entry on the homescreen, there is no problem, so it must be a problem with widgets.

Another question: Is it possible to show the duration instead of the file size here and how can I delete this info completely?
Furthermore: How can I delete the preview image in the right corner and left to the file name?:
