I am having an issue where the stock intro video will not play sound except at the end. Is therea setting in the startup.xml in the skin that
needs to be edited.

I will however tell you that it appears I was correct in my assumption and that it is very likely related to refresh rate switching...

When watching a Movie/TV Show stream and I press OK, the control options appear at the bottom of the screen.
When listening to a radio station and I press OK, the control options appear at the top.
See screenshot below.
AEON NOX 5 are always at the top.
Is it possible for me using skin settings to always have the control options at the top of the screen?

Not broken. It has been removed due to too many requests to change it.

I originally added it to be different from OG Aeon Nox 5 but there are too many options and some of them are just unnecessary IMHO.

They are showing in AeonMQ7. I have .atmos and .dtsx in the movie file name.

Also, in general, can we please get the option to lock the focus in the centre of the screen for all the views? Like it does in Showcase. There are a lot of great view options but it's this issue that stops me from using them.

I forgot to switch the SetFocus id's after adding the new alphabet jump bar. Will be fixed on Git sometime today.

Alternatively if you want to install script.embuary.helper from Skin settings > Help > Install or Change Settings of add-ons:


Then you can use the new Alphabet Jump Bar:


Locking the focus in the center doesn't work for all views. It works for ShowCase because the center item is flat while the others point inward towards it.

I would have to re-design every view so labels and other elements were centered also and that is just not gonna happen.

If you have a specific request for a particular view then maybe we can talk about it but a blanket statement of all views in the center...

EDIT: Default Letter Jump is fixed on Git now.

It seems with the recent update, the player control buttons are now at the top of the screen and the info bar at the bottom of the screen. They swapped position.

I have not found a way to change it back in the skin settings. Or in Kodi settings,

Not sure what changed or if i did some thing but i think they use to be the other way around, that is the control buttons at the bottom of the screen and info bar at the top.

If this is the new default i guess i can get use to it, but if i can change it back how would i do that.

Thanks in advance for fixing the skip by letter function. That Embuary Helper looks promising as well.

Regarding the Showcase view, I use it in flattened mode which doesn't have the coverflow effect applied and it works great. I don't think you need to change any of the visual elements for the other views. Just lock the "cursor" to the centre. But maybe you were referring to something else.

The reason why I prefer locked and centred is that I can see what is coming up as I scroll up/down, left/right. If not I have to move the cursor to the edge of the screen until the screen begins to scroll and it makes browsing that little bit less practical and enjoyable.

I just went through all the views and I should of been more specific. The ones that I personally think would benefit from a centred and locked focus are as follows:

List
RightList
FanartList
LowList
Biglist
Logo (already centred and locked)
ShowCase (already centred and locked)
Shift
MyFlix
TriPanel
Icons
Landscape (already centred and locked)
Panel

The "Wall" style views of course wouldn't work if they were centred and locked.
And to be clear, I'm only suggesting that the option be included. I wouldn't want to foist my own preferences onto others.

EDIT: I just downloaded the git update. I can confirm that the letter skip function is fixed for me. Thanks so much.

The Aeon Nox Silvo 7.0.3 has put the osd at the top of the screen.. How do I put it back on bottom as in version 7.0.2

Alright, alright, I get it. I'll add the option back to move the OSD buttons to the bottom.

Feels like I never heard the end of it when I switched it originally and now the opposite happens when I move it back...
