Release Aeon Nox: SiLVO
(2019-09-24, 15:30)mikeSiLVO Wrote: @brazen1 FYI, I took a look at your logs anyway and I am like 99% sure that the error about your black image is cause it is actually not there. If it is just a pure black jpg then having it set to something like that, which is not already in your thumbnails folder, would look the same as selecting a pure black image.

Now I'm stuck trying to get PVR artwork to work..when I go to manual lookout it does find the artwork for that recordings but it doesnt show at all...should this be working...counldn t find much info about how to get it to work..

thanks again

You're gonna have to be more specific with like info, screenshots and stuff...
I think it's possible to get artwork on recordings..

In advanced settings of artwork manager I got pvr artwork/metadata only for recordings enabled.
When I go to artwork options/refresh (manual lookup)/name of tv show it finds the artwork and I choose it. but nothing comes up in recordings folders
Tried other options besides manual lookup same thing..
I m using PVR HTSP client on Rpi2 Kodi 18.4 Libreelec ..Aeon nox silvo 7.0.7/7.9.3 trieed both..

@mikeSiLVO - Isn't the fanart suppose to rotate in all the "Music" views, or am I incorrect?

Thanks,

Shedrock

Sure, it's possible but that requires supporting script.skin.helper.service and I won't. It is unsupported, unmaintained, and I'm not gonna waste any time adding it.
Feel free to mod it in yourself though. The wiki for the script is fairly detailed.

Thanks,

Yep, if you either have the Artist Information folder setup or use Artwork Beef.
It should work if you turned on the extra-fanart option.

Or can I point the widget to the video add-ons thumbs with the Apps directory? Or is it even a directly like a playlist? It would be quite fabulous to be able to have that as widget.
I use super favourites now but cumbersome and won’t change with habits. I’m lazy and want to shave a few clicks! Lol

In all honestly @mikeSiLVO I owe you a debt of gratitude for years of enjoyment. Your skin is hands down the most family friendly with all the customizations. I would have a mutiny in my house if I changed it!

Ah, good call. That uses the last used sort by so I can just add that as an option.

Super! Thanks for the support. Should I update to latest git?

==Edit==
Seems I lost a post along the way. @mikeSiLVO, the soft deleted post by @DWood32006 I seem to have misplaced in the split. Sad Let me know if you come across it.

Haven't found it but I think you mean @brumbie cause that was the purple one at the top of the new thread before it disappeared but it was empty quotes when I saw it.

EDIT: @Karellen maybe this one from my browser history?

If you're interested in that feature please test it out.
Try your best to break it Wink
@mikeSiLVO I absolutely love it! I just seen the post and will be testing on PC (Win10-1903) and android (shield). I have and am redoing my music library now. I have 1000+ albums I am re-tagging so I am doing much with it as far as adding, cleaning, etc.  But so far it is working great on the shield side.

On the PC side, this skin seems to be running a bit slower, like when the discs are spinning, they are a bit choppyHuh I will reboot PC in a bit to see if that helps and edit if still exists. Good on PC as well.

I am so glad things are finally progressing for the music side of Kodi as well as the skin. This here is a really awesome feature, makes the view POP!

Just a little blooper with Right List in movie sets. The overview is shifted over the poster...

That's cause you disabled posters in RightList movies view.
Not sure what's best so I will just add independent settings for Movie Sets concerning mediaflags, floor, and poster visibility. Discart hiding will count for both movies and sets though since I don't think that kind of customization is necessary. Will be on Git in a few-ish minutes...

EDIT: Good to go on Git if you want to test it out.

Here's a little thing I noticed that I can't seem to do any longer. I generally add to my MAIN menu a Westerns genre item. Used to go to Skin Settings>Set up The Aeon Nox Main Menu>Click a "+" to add an item>choose item for menu>Video Library>Movies>GENRES>Western. Seems I can no longer do this as there no longer is an ability to list genres. Has this been moved or is it an oversightHuh Or am I just missing this ability somewhere else?

I know I can add a Custom Menu Item ActivateWindow(Videos,videodb://movies/genres/13/,return) But I don't have a list of the genre numbers and I have noticed that it might not always be 13 for Western Smile

I tested the "Let It Snow", it's still working with the Git version...haha. That leads me to this: When I did web design, I had written a java script to do the same effect on a website, but the user could easily change it from spring, to summer, to fall, to xmas, etc. Like snow flakes for winter or falling leaves for fall or xmas stuff, etc..

Is there a way to add a new option below the Let It Snow button to allow a user to choose a file location for the images and they could be dropped in and then tell the skin where they are? I have tested it with grabbing 5 transparent leaf png's, renaming them to snow1, snow2, etc and they look good. Not sure what file(s) are called in the skin to make these type of changes, but would try if you or someone can point to the right path and which files are used.

Yeah that is an oversight but not sure how best to fix it without completely deleting the custom grouping for the main menu.
I don't see a way to add a browse genres section for the Main Menu and when I add the default <content>video</content> the movies menu is empty.

I am toying with the idea of adding a genres section populated with skin defined smart playlists but that would only be for English only so not sure if that's the best plan...

You could set up your own smart playlist for the genre and use that, not ideal but it's the best I got ATM...

If you wanna post the images and they are free to use I can look into adding them but if I don't like how they look then I likely won't add it Undecided

If you wanna try yourself then it is the SnowBackground include in Includes_Backgrounds.xml ~line 243
xml:

<include name="SnowBackground">

If you can't browse with the default <content>video</content> tag then you're encountering a bug with the script. A debug log - with the scripts own logging enabled - will tell you more. If you're using the py3 version (and sorry I haven't been in a position to help out with that recently - hopefully soon) then likely another darn encode/decode issue.

Not using Py3 was using remove_backward_compat branch but switched to master just in case I broke something and same result.

LOG

Relevant bit is ~line 1880

Code:

ERROR: XFILE::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting library://video/movies/

I don't know if that is a valid path or not.
It isn't listed in the https://kodi.wiki/view/Opening_Windows_and_Dialogs

Thanks Bob!

Searching the code I am gonna assume that this is the problem and it isn't replacing the path:
python:
def get_visibility( self, path ):
path = path.replace( "videodb://", "library://video/" )

Perhaps combined with this bit here?
python:

if action.startswith( ( "activatewindow(videos,videodb://", "activatewindow(videolibrary,videodb://",
"activatewindow(10025,videodb://", "activatewindow(videos,library://video/",
"activatewindow(videolibrary,library://video", "activatewindow(10025,library://video/" ) ):
path = action.split( "," )
if path[ 1 ].endswith( ")" ):
path[ 1 ] = path[ 1 ][:-1]
return NODE.get_visibility( path[ 1 ] )

Or
python:
def _parse_libraryNodes( self, library, type ):
Reply
It should be a valid path - it's a library node, so won't be listed on the relevant wiki page because they're editable, and so may not be on all users systems (though the script loads the nodes directly, so knows which ones are there). It's a strange one - you've not been messing with custom library nodes have you...? (I'm guessing not, the log says the script only found the default nodes that ship with Kodi, but some messed up nodes somewhere could explain it)

The problem will be in the explorer function - for some reason the files.getdirectory json call isn't able to get the directory...  Confused
