Used to go to Skin Settings>Set up The Aeon Nox Main Menu>Click a "+" to add an item>choose item for menu>Video Library>Movies>GENRES>Western. Seems I can no longer do this as there no longer is an ability to list genres. Has this been moved or is it an oversight Or am I just missing this ability somewhere else?
I know I can add a Custom Menu Item ActivateWindow(Videos,videodb://movies/genres/13/,return) But I don't have a list of the genre numbers and I have noticed that it might not always be 13 for Western
Yeah that is an oversight but not sure how best to fix it without completely deleting the custom grouping for the main menu.
I don't see a way to add a browse genres section for the Main Menu and when I add the default <content>video</content> the movies menu is empty.
I am toying with the idea of adding a genres section populated with skin defined smart playlists but that would only be for English only so not sure if that's the best plan...
You could set up your own smart playlist for the genre and use that, not ideal but it's the best I got ATM...

That leads me to this: When I did web design, I had written a java script to do the same effect on a website, but the user could easily change it from spring, to summer, to fall, to xmas, etc. Like snow flakes for winter or falling leaves for fall or xmas stuff, etc..
Is there a way to add a new option below the Let It Snow button to allow a user to choose a file location for the images and they could be dropped in and then tell the skin where they are? I have tested it with grabbing 5 transparent leaf png's, renaming them to snow1, snow2, etc and they look good. Not sure what file(s) are called in the skin to make these type of changes, but would try if you or someone can point to the right path and which files are used.
If you wanna post the images and they are free to use I can look into adding them but if I don't like how they look then I likely won't add it
If you wanna try yourself then it is the SnowBackground include in Includes_Backgrounds.xml ~line 243
xml:
<include name="SnowBackground">
