If you are using a device like an android tablet or something with a low powered CPU you may have to wait a long time (maybe about as much as 5 minutes) for the skin to finish building. So try again and give it some time. The screen may even go totally black/blank for a period as well.

I'm using an I Mac and the message "Building menu Please wait" is running like 12 hours without any changes.

Any one can hemp me ??

I know nothing about Macs but I'm sure if you post a debug log someone will help. There are several versions of the skin, one for Leia 18.5, one for each of the older versions too. V7.08 I think is the current version for Leia 18.5 so make sure you have the right version of the skin for it.

Not sure why BUT upgrading Leia 18.5 to latest version of skin fails. Just goes blank during the update-- Kodi just goes into 20% CPU and sits there. Does same from both kodi repository and latest Leia branch of git. Killing it just seems to revert to the previous version ... odd. Any thoughts anyone? I can go backspace and see a main window but absolutely no text whatsoever ... Seems like Kodi is responsive but the skin is totally broken. I can't see much in the logs at all that is helpful.

I am currently using version 7.0.1. Is there something else I need to update (I see a note about python 3 for a newer version of kodi). Kodi version 18.5 and Windows 10 if it matters.

I'm on W10 1909, 18.5, and 7.0.8. I installed from zip from GIT on top of previous version. I would try backing up your skin settings.xml (I would back up your entire userdata folder and you should be anyway) and uninstall the skin. Then, install the newer version and it might not hang. Lastly, overwrite the skin settings.xml with your backup and see if that whips it into shape.

So currently my state is, even with the latest versions of Aeon Nox Silvio and ArtistSlideshow from GIT:
As soon as Artist Slideshow is enabled, the CPU usage goes berserk as soon as Kodi starts the playback of ANY media. Only solution is to disable the addon.

I had the same problem. In my case it was a plugin that somehow was preventing the skin from updating (Marcel Veldt's unofficial Spotify plugin). I usually disable it, update the skin and re-enable it after I'm done. Hope this helps you in some way.

I've updated from 7.9.0 to 7.9.4 and now there is the following problem:
Every time when I play a ts or mkv file or a stream from an addon, there is a black screen for two seconds when I display the home menu or go back (show the last menu from where the file/stream is located) while the file/stream is still playing.
Kodi 18.5 and Nvidia Shield.

18.5 win 10. Did you update the skin? All of a sudden fanart is showing in background. I would like to disable this. I just want my background. Can't find the option to disable now. Any thoughts or insight?

I'm thinking you have the WRONG version of the skin installed. For Kodi 18.5 it should be V7.0.8. For Kodi 19 it should be V7.9.4...but I could be wrong..

Yep, so uninstalled the current version -- restarted -- saw that Kodi thought version 5 was still installed. Odd I thought! Uninstalled that, cleaned out all directories. Reinstalled. All good. I must have missed something as it remembered all my cusomt menus etc. I didn;t copy back ov settings but just set them all again (there were only a few). Maybe this was a accumulation of years of Aeon Nox Silvo updates causing an issue ... Its all good now. Thanks!

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I just wanted to let you know before I forgot. I was just playing The Carpenters Christmas Album and noticed that the Lyrics are not being truncated so it cuts off across the screen. I think the text probably needs to be resized. I especially noticed it with the track "Sleigh Ride".

running pkscouts latest artisitlideshow on Silvio's latest GitHub version - so far so good running well but I noticed that in musicvisualisation two slide shows are running at the same time. One is pkscouts artistsslideshow and the other seems to be be random fanart. Any idea on this?

I am also using the skin with AS Beta 7 and I confirm that it is indeed an issue.

As I said I have no Mac knowledge....If Kodi runs you should be able to switch back to the default skin and then uninstall Aeon Nox Silvo. Then use the Kodi repo to install it again but make sure the correct version will be installed for Kodi 18.5, which should be Aeon Nox Silvo V7.0.8.
