I am using the version of Aeon Nox SiLVO from the Kodi repo without any issues.

I appreciate all the work Mike has put into his skin and hope he continues.

There is a special OzWeather weather addon built especially for this skin. It has worked great but just the last week or so the weather radar now shows the cloud but all over a totally black screen. I am not clever enough to fix it. Would really appreciate someone who is more clever than me having a go at getting it going properly again.

There have been some updates to OzWeather over the last week. Probably best if you report it to @bossanova808 in his thread.

@Thomfam yep head on over to the OzWeather thread - this post has a version you can manually update to (the addon in pending review by the Kodi folks, but has been there almost two weeks now...).

That should fix your issue (you'll want to re-configure your locations) - but note that we might need to talk about skin files. There have been a lot of changes to the addon, and I wasn't aware there was a working Aeon Nox: SILVO skin file for OzWeather. It would be great if you could send me the MyWeather.xml you're using as I might need to re-write it a bit for the new version, and if I do, then I'll add support to it in my (relatively new) skin patcher utility (also found in that thread but not useful for you as it doesn't yet support your skin).

(But let's talk there as most of this won't be relevant to others here!)

Battling a war is always an extreme action, my best wishes you win this battle with covid, I'm sure all the members are in agreement, but this is kinda off-topic, let's not stray to far beyond the hobbyist nature of this skin, for fear of reminding all of us that there is another world outside of Matrix.

As far as the skinner 'mikeSiLVO', he is still active as an infrequent user but not sure if he has elected to continue support for Aeon Nox: Silvo as his name sake. Failing a public announcement, I can only suggest that the Matrix repository still show the skin 7.9.6 is available and for the most part, I don't see any issues that would discount it's use. There appears to be a large following with plenty of users capable of supporting minor user errors and fixes. This skin has been supported for many years, and there is no guarantee of continued support forever, hence we have this support thread specifically for the skin. Given the open source concept anyone can enter future developments. Kodi and all it's skins are a community development and all users are welcome to contribute what they can to make this the best project the world has seen.

is there any way to make the default view the Fanartlist?
i use only the movies have a different view..
so now I always have to adjust it for different apps

Hi all.
Since upgrading to 8.0, I've lost 4K cases (I get them in widgets, though). Any idea what's happened?

I've no issue with cases & res designation showing up with 8.0 most of this artwork is contained in the Textures.xbt (addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\media) I suppose the file could have been corrupted on installation, copying from your older installation might be the fix.

Thanks, PatK. Your suggestion got me thinking & all I had to do to fix the issue was to reinstall 8.0 directly from the repo (I had originally installed it from a ZIP).

Can the font be modified in 8.0 like the previous ones.

KODI v19.1 - Aeon Nox: SiLVO v8.0

In BigFan View, I am now seeing Status Indicators (upper right corner; for watched/unwatched/etc.) on the Poster image for each video; I don't remember seeing these when I was using KODI v19.0 (and earlier) with earlier versions of Aeon Nox: SiLVO.

Some views, like MyFlix, have a "Status indicators" setting which allows you to "Disable" these and, effectively, remove/hide them from the Poster image. This option is unavailable under BigFan Settings; there is only a "Plot" (show/hide) option.

For SiLVO v8.0, is there any method to remove Status Indicators when using BigFan view? (I'm fine with editing XML, etc., if necessary.)

Kodi 19.1 here running on Chromecast with Google TV.
I switched to this skin to check it out, but am now locked in - can't access settings.
Just have main menu band with Movies, TV shows etc. It's the only thing I can see apart from search, date, time sitting directly on top of the menu bar.
Can only scroll left and right?
Any suggestions?
