I made a fresh new skin install (Aeon Madnox, not SILVO) and the menus and submenus work fine, without incident. The thing is, all color customization is lost (colorpicker addon is broken in Nexus).

I have just run into the same issue. Did you manage to resolve this? I'm using this skin (Silvo)

Not automatically. You could replace your standard poster with an animated poster.
The animation won't work across networks. The image needs to be saved locally

You will need to install the TV Tunes addon

Not that I am aware of.

1. it worked as you mentioned but i gave up on it as it is lots of work to change one by one all the animated posters
2. i cannot find that add on in the kodi repo, where do i install it from? the other skin aeon tajo plays the theme.mp3 without this addon so is this for this aeon nox silvo skin?
3. i do not understand your answer. you mean that you are not aware of if aeon nox silvo supports red carpet or what do you mean?

thank you so much. i installed tv tunes and themes works fine now
by the way, I managed to edit the skin settings, variables, and several other xml files to get the animated posters working automatically including adding a button in the skin itself to enable it. it is adhock solution really and I am surprised it worked at all.
of course I have to be careful and make backup since the skin can be updated in the future.
I might as well be encouraged to see how the red carpet work in the other skin and do something about it in this skin. 
again thanks for this wonderful skin. i see it became my favourite so quickly

That is great. Maybe you could submit a PR to include the setting in the skin. Prefer animated poster, but fall back to plain poster if it does not exist.

hey man yes sure. although all i did was copy / paste actually from aeon tajo to address the concern of fall back because not all my movies have animated poster.
pasted that in aeon silvo and changed very little of the code to match what is done there.. while fingers crossed to make it work
then made a radio button i added it in the SilVO Extra section. again copy/ paste from a similar radio button in aeon nox silvo. renamed it, gave it id, gave it message and message id then add that in all english language files. have not touched any other languages. so i will dig deep to know how to submit that PR in an understandable way

Working here.  Fwiw, you can also add your own images to the folder located at AppData\Roaming\Kodi\addons\resource.images.actorart.

Is there a way to show the movie info in the Panel Widget Info for the Favorites option?

I have two widgets on my Movies section, top one is Random movies and the bottom one is my Favorites. When I select a movie in the Random widget I get the movie info but when I select a Favorite movie there is no info, just the name. I tried putting Favorites on the top and Random on the bottom but it didn't work either.

EDIT 6/29/22
Turns out it's the moviedb helper addon. Soon as I disabled it the problem stopped.
It also seems to have stopped my view from being changed as well.
Now back to the original post....

Here's a little thing I've been trying to figure out. When I go to a list of TV shows in Tri panel view the info changes from genre to status info in less than a second. (see Video) Am I missing some setting that would stop this. I notice it doesn't happen on my Android tablet but it does in all my Windows installs.

but when using the Aeon Nox SiLVIO skin - when i press pause i get the video progress bar - but not the menu of symbols underneath that i am used to seeing - ie no cog icon, no options to adjust zoom

Imo, when you press pause, video playback should simply pause.  There is a setting (Prefer clean pause) to force this to happen if for some reason unwanted things appear on a paused screen although I find it unnecessary.  If you want things like a progress bar to appear or eye candy such as a logo, there are settings to automatically add them to a paused screen.  There is no setting to overlay player controls automatically when pause is pressed I know of.  If you want player controls to appear, press M or whatever M is mapped to on your remote control after you press pause.  Then you can scroll to the desired category setting you want to fiddle with such as zoom or audio offset you mentioned.  Fwiw, many keyboard keys can be mapped to a decent remote control without navigating into a specific menu to operate them.  They can be adjusted on-the-fly and show up at the top of the screen as you adjust it/them.  Audio offset for example - press A.
