Do the newest Kodi builds (>20) support Atmos and DTS-X tags?

Yes.
 

I notice that while there are now HDR10/DV tags with Silvo there are still only TrueHD and DTS-HD tags for Atmos and DTS-X.

TrueHD shows as Dolby True HD.  DTS-HD shows as DTS-HD Master Audio.  Atmos shows as Dolby Atmos.  DTS-X shows as DTS X.  I don't know why yours wouldn't.

No.  HDR10 shows as HDR 10.  HDR10+ shows as Dolby Vision.

I have tried adding HDR, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision to my movie titles (I use Tiny Media Managerto rename my movies).  Whatever I try I dont ever seem to get any HDR flags displayed.

1- due to the fact that the skin allows only 2 views (list view and Icon view) for Directors submenu, then not possible to show dorectors thumb in poster view or showcase view etc.
2- the only view that show the movies directors thumbs is Icon view.
3- since the Icon view is square and the photos from the addon are rectangle, then some of the photos appear cropped from the top and bottom 
4- although the list view is available for Directors submenu, it is not possible for it to show the thumbs since it shows only text which is the director name and next to it is a list of the movies for that director.

It seems you should maybe consider to adapt an existing or create a new view (exclusive) for the directors label to better fit the aspect ratio.
It's a bit of work playing around with the skin xml but not the most difficult task.

yes you are right. best is to create its own view. I will test doing that in the up coming weeks whenever I have time

I created and tested it with the AeonMQ7 Multi-Mod in old Krypton times. There was every view for every label unlocked. (Maybe you find an easy way to do it here)
It was only looking good in a few views. Not polished at all, just fuctional. On other views there where similar problems (visual issues) as you described too.

Dolby Vision is playable on Windows using the Movies & TV app plus a couple components from the Windows Store.  It isn't true Dolby Vision for me because I don't prefer a Dolby Vision capable display but playback does look very, very good imo

I always include tags in my file names.  Why don't you add DV to one of your file names, rescrape, play the main title for a couple seconds, and see if the DV icon shows up with the rest of the metadata icons?  If it does, then you've answered your own question.  You can even have HDR10+ and DV in the file name if your title includes HDR and DV video.  (some.movie.year.2160p.x265.uhd.atmos.hdr10+.dv)  DV will override the HDR10+ tag and display the DV icon only.  If there is no DV in the file name, then the HDR10 icon will display.

Someone's been busy.  Thank you for all the improvements you've made including both of todays.  I really like not seeing the poster reflections anymore.  (still present using shift view for seasons in TV shows because MyFlix is N/A fwiw but no biggy)
Like the new icons and noticed the spacing filling the entire bottom bar left to right.

Still don't understand how to apply background color option for single image?  I go to skin settings/general/set default background/set single image background... and I land in special/skin/extras/backgrounds.  So, I back out and navigate to backgrounds/solid colors... and select black.  Settings background doesn't change.  It's still using special/skin/extras/backgrounds/default_settings.jpg.  So, as I've always done, I rename default_settings.jpg to orig_default_settings.jpg and replace it with a new default_settings.jpg which is a black.jpg.

Also, I don't know what's at fault?  I try to use TV-Show Next Aired add-on.  It installs using a Kodi v21 nightly and I can configure it but selecting it to run does nothing.  I try to add it as a widget like I've successfully done in the past using older Kodi builds.  I can navigate to it and select it as a widget but it doesn't complete adding it.  Instead, the widget install takes me to the Edit Title pop-up window.  It never does show up as a widget.  I know v21 is a little early but this is the only app that doesn't display properly.  It may even be a fault of the add-on.

I will quick and dirty add Seasons for MyFlix and remove the reflections in shift.

As for the settings screen, you have to do it a certain way to override that particular background.

Aaaaah.  Fallback system.  Yep.  That works perfectly... and the setting carries over between builds.  Thanks for that explanation.  Now I get MyFlix for seasons.  I know you said quick and dirty so just pointing out Status Indicators isn't working and setting is stuck on Disabled.  Reflections remain using Shift and Posters views fwiw.  Thanks a bunch for the prompt diagnosing and adjustments you just made
