A requested feature requires some testing. I added support for jurialmunkey's script.skinvariables Viewtype Builder option to the video library. It is for the Video library only, for now, and that refers to Movies, Sets, TV Shows, Episodes, and Seasons as well as any addons that correctly report those matching content types. Regardless of any previous defaults and with the script installed and enabled it "should" ignore Kodi's built-in view mode selection so any chosen view will follow the library or plugin/addon preference chosen. Any issues from those with or without script.skinvariables installed would be helpful
There are two ways to select the views. The first is in Skin Settings > Advanced > Set default viewtypes and the second is in the Video library views.
Would also be great if anyone could check over the skin textures. It was reported on GitHub that certain images had their colors changed when using ImgBot to optimize the files so if any images are not correct I can revert to the old files before the next skin update.
The latest skin version on GitHub for Nexus/Omega with the viewtype bulder added is HERE.
I am using the TexturePacker.exe from HERE to make the Textures.xbt file so hopefully that is the most current version.
Remember, it is for the Video library only so please do not say that it is not working for any other areas like Music or Live TV/PVR stuff...
Thanks
