xbox180 Wrote:Very recently FTPing files to my HD has stopped working. I have a 300GB drive, with an F and G drive. I am on a wireless network as well. But everything works great, except when I use FileZilla (or any other FTP program that I've tried), and I start to FTP files, they go for a random but short amount of time then freeze. Everything else on the XBMC runs along (screensaver, music playing, RSS feed, etc), but FTP to it just stops. Quitting Filezilla and trying to connect again fails, the only thing that lets me connect again, is a restart of XBMC. Then Filezilla will connect again and let me upload a few more files before freezing again. Any suggestions?
I also recognize this problem. I have it frequently, especially when there is a large amount of "small" files to FTP to the Xbox. They seem to take forever.
Moreover I quite frequently get the lock-out problem where the only option is to restart XBMC and start over again. Sometimes I also get a problem with the FTP client on the PC, and the only possibility is to reboot.
I thought the problem was my PC Filezilla but switched to another FTP client (Cute FTP) and immediatly got the same problem. So:
If I run Avalaunch on the Xbox I get the problem when FTP-ing
If I run XBMC on the Xbox I get the problem when FTP-ing
If I use Filezilla on the PC I get the problem when FTP-ing
If I use Cute FTP on the PC I get the problem when FTP-ing
I use the XP SP2 Firewall (on) and also have a Linksys router in between the Xbox and the PC, but since it do work from time to time I do not think that is the problem.
Any suggestions on what to do? Or anyone with similar problems?

P.S. Thanks for an EXCELLENT application, to all of you that has spent so much time developing it!
P.P.S. I am sorry but I can't provide any logs, or more specific information atm but will try and do it later tonight. The XBMC build is from september 4th. At least something.......
