Interesting. Thanks for checking. Did you try out last night's nightlies? I was going to try it out tonight once I reach home.

Greetings,

I want to confirm this issue - it's still there with nightly 12/22/2014.

I'm working on win10b9878 and MariaDB10.0.0.15.
I could break it down to not being an issue of
- profiles
- named DBs
- win10
- mariaDB10

and no, I'm not using an altered DB shema for getting full multi user access... - all plain vanilla Angel

Merry Christmas!

Good to know I'm not going crazy either... Virtually everything I play goes through recently added.

Yes, this was a 'me too' post.

Same issue here on the latest windows nightly build.
At least in my case playing any video from the home screen (via widgets) is also affected by this bug. Anyone else that can confirm widgets are also affected? Can this be skin dependent?

Looking at the repo I see that Helix 14.0 has been branched off, new PR's with bug fixes for Helix are now tagged for the bug fix release 14.1 so I'm afraid this fix is not gonna make it for Helix 14.0 final. I expect a lot of bug reports and user complaints because of this bug once everyone updates to 14.0.

This is not skin dependent. I use confluence ++ and discussed this extensively at xda. I don't think this fix has been committed yet. Interestingly kodi has an official out of beta release that might still have this issue. I'm on the november 28th nightly where this problem does not persist.

Can someone confirm?

It is indeed not skin dependent. I have it with Confluence and Titan.

So this wont get fixed until developers agree on a fix. Looking at https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/5958 there seem to be some disagreement which usually means no fix committed..

I've seen that, and I really don't get how this critical bug is handled within the team. Rolleyes
Since this is so critical, someone in the team needs to step up and decide on a good solution and just get it in for the upcoming bug fix release.

This is in no way even imaginable a critical bug. It's just an inconvenience. Hard crashing, that is critical.

I get why you don't see it as a critical bug, but IMO from a user's perspective it is as it affects core features (watch status/resume playback).

IMO this is not critical or even high priority issue. Unlike Kodi crashing issues which is real critical issue and should be given highest priority. With limited resource / manpower I feel this issue could be down on waiting list.

you guys can compile the proposed fix ontop, it seems to fix issue, though imo the person who broke it should fix it.
