I've seen that, and I really don't get how this critical bug is handled within the team.
Since this is so critical, someone in the team needs to step up and decide on a good solution and just get it in for the upcoming bug fix release.

This is in no way even imaginable a critical bug. It's just an inconvenience. Hard crashing, that is critical.
