I am running the following version on my laptop. Its it possible to upgrade to Kodi stable version from it?

cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=12.10
DISTRIB_CODENAME=quantal
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 12.10 - XBMCbuntu"

its possible, but will be a longer process. You're much better off just installing over it from the new release.

Ned Scott! I tried the option but it didnt work.

wsnipex: Xbmcbuntu is now Kodibuntu? So i have to fresh install Kodibuntu
