I have figure out how to add a menu item in retouched. Is it not possible to create a a sub-menu with a bunch of shortcuts?

Example:

TV (menu item)
-> Live TV(shortcut)
->On Demand TV(shortcut)

nope, you would have to modify the skin xml code yourself if you want to add custom items.
