KODI takes over Sound
#1
When ever I use KODI on my desktop cpu and then exit KODI I lose sound for my other apps and things like Youtube will not play............Why?
What can I do so that I don't have reboot every time I finish using Kodi?

Dell
Windows 8.1
KODI 14.1

It was like this with XBMC too.............

This is an issue I see sometimes. With exclusive mode switched on in windows (playback devices>advanced) and audio device keep alive set to always in kodi, the kodi.exe process will often keep running after the gui shuts down.

Going in to task manager and trying to kill the kodi task would sometimes hang the system and require a reboot. I originally got round it by running xbmclauncher (kodilauncher as it is now) and using its force close kodi option, this would give the audio device back to windows to use.

Hasnt been an issue for me since I started using a 1 minute keep alive in kodi settings so maybe give that a try?
