Kodibuntu + Chromebox + USB DVB-S2 Tuner
#1
Hi All,

I've recently moved into a new property that has no cable TV (I was previously with Virgin Media and used a TiVo), it does however have a satellite.

I don't currently have a separate DVB-S2 tuner, so I was hoping to use a USB DVB-S2 tuner with my Asus Chromebox running Kodibuntu.

I'm looking to spend under £80 if possible, does anyone have any suggestions on a readily available USB S2 tuner, that would work with Kodibuntu? Also, I'm presuming the Chromebox will be able to handle running the USB tuner with no problems? I need it to be as reliable as possible as it's going to be the main TV in the house.

Thanks in advance!

I've just setup one of these on my Chromebox, running Openelec - and it's working well.

You could check if it's compatible with Kodibuntu.
Main TV: LibreELEC 7.0.1 / Kodi 16.1, with Xonfluence skin on Asus Chromebox (1.4GHz, 4Gb RAM, 64Gb SSD) + DVB-S and DVB-T with TVH.
Plus testing v17 nighlies on Macbook, and using Estuary skin.
