When pausing or rewinding live tv, how do I end timeshift/catch up to the actual live tv?

If it helps I'm using an ms mce remote.

Thanks for replying, but pressing 'skip' just goes to the next channel.

Sounds like an issue with the remote mapping. Works fine here on windows and Linux.

I have the Keymap Editor add-on installed. What should the 'skip' button be mapped to?

Is there a feature request or a hidden command to do this instead of skipping forward through the stream which is awkward and confusing IMO. When doing it on my setup kodi keeps trying to skip ahead of the stream and then goes back to the nearest playback point. Looks as though it hasnt caught up but it has. It's been like this for years, about time it had a feature win mce had a decade ago isn't it?
