Ahh i see disabling it killed my h264 content no hardware acceleration! But enabling it killed my live tv!
No sure fire winner... i will just have to switch surface on/off to watch specific content!it'll do as a solution for me as i have a dedicated box in the other room!
I tested as well on my Sony and DVB HD content got smooth when disabled Mediacodec Surface HW acceleration. Very starnge that disabling HW acceleration reduces the CPU load. For me it seems like a SW bug. Would be good to have it corrected.
Anyway, I opened a ticket
I wonder if there is any activity in Android development of official Kodi track. However would be nice if Koying looked into the problem and corrected it in his SPMC branch.
