Win Video Distortion at bottom of video

Hi

I have just installed Kodi 14.2 onto my Windows laptop (Windows 7 SP1 - screen resolution 1920x1280 60Ghz) and am just playing around with it to see what it does. Very impressed with it I must say. One thing I am a little confused with how to resolve is during the playback some videos have distortion at the bottom when played using the default settings. This distortion looks like the video is stretched from the bottom. This same file plays back fine when using VLC player.

I'll try to upload a screenshot of this once I work out how to do that, but the default settings on this video are:
  • Deinterlace Video - Auto
  • Deinterlace method - auto select
  • video scaling method - auto
  • Crop black bars - not selected
  • View Mode - normal
  • Zoom Amount - 1.0
  • Vertical Shift - 0

Any ideas on what could be causing this, and how to resolve "automatcially"?

Many thanks for any help on this.

Les

Howdy

Many thanks for the reply. I tried that but it did not solve my problem. But I did try a few of the other options on the render section and "DXVA" seems to have done the trick for me. I will play around with other videos to see what affect this settings has.

Fantastic tip, thanks.

Many thanks
