FYI, the Haswell/Broadwell mobile chipsets require low-voltage (1.35v) memory only

Suspect PC3L only - like the Haswell Chromeboxes and NUCs.

Quote:It does come with the HDD tray, but not the SATA cable or HDD screws. You can see the SATA socket just above the SSD.
The SATA cable is P/N: 805299-001 - it's possible to order from HP but it's not immediate. I'm still waiting after ordering last week.
The HDD screws is P/N: 594220-001 (Pack of 4). You CAN'T order these from HP, and they're pretty hard to get hold of.
The SSD is of the 42mm length variety (The stock one was a SanDisk U110).
The PCIe slot is for a half size card, and there are no wifi antennas - P/N: 805303-001.

How did you order the SATA cable etc. I've been to to the HP Partsurfer site but can't see any clickable links to add them to my basket etc.? Am I being dense?

a question to noggin, which vendor did you purchase from?
Dabs is cheaper and I've heard it's owned by bt.
Which is the recommended vendor?

I went with Dabs last night. The eBuyer offer was higher then.

Sorry noggin I just quoted that from the hotukdeals link from above, I'll have a look if I can add
Also someone said

he SATA cable is part 805299-001, the special disk mounting grommets part 594220-001 (pack of 4). They also have the internal WiFi aerial assembly as part 805303-001. You should be able to see (and order) these from this HP Parts Surfer site link. The HP 260 G1 product # is KBL27EA (#ABU) - however, that link uses product # K5R32AV

There's also a part on the deal from dabs on hotukdeals with users giving more specifications

No worries - there is an HP Parts store site.

The SATA cable is £10.51 https://h20141.www2.hp.com/Hpparts/Searc...805299-001
The WiFi antenna assembly is similar https://h20141.www2.hp.com/Hpparts/Searc...805303-001

Not ordering yet - don't need WiFi or internal SATA yet. SATA could be useful though in the future.

Ebuyer have some great deals and as long as the product you ordered works would be recommended, but wo betide you if you have a problem and try to return something to them.

I've only used Dabs once before so can't really comment other than the item turned up on time and worked ok.

I've just purchased one and am waiting for it to arrive. Just taken a look at the manual online and it appears you can set something in the BIOS to wake the PC from a keyboard attached to a specific USB port, p6 in this online manual

Do you think we'd be able to use a USB receiver plugged into the same USB port to wake this from cold?

Cheers

Had an attempted delivery for mine today. Hopefully I can pick it up from Post Office tomorrow. Be interesting to see if it wakes from Off or just from Standby via USB. (And what's the betting it's one at the back not the front?)

Don't have a Displayport to HDMI adaptor - my Amazon delivery didn't arrive (though they said it had) so I've got a refund but no adaptor. I do have a Displayport display (iPad Retina display with converter - another little project) so will be able to check it works (I guess I could use VGA as well) but will pick up a converter to HDMI ASAP so I can check HD Audio into the Onkyo.
