Welcome MIMIC - Best Skin - Theme question
#1
Hi guys

first of all I want to thank you for this superb skin. I spent half of my weekend playing with all of them and MIMIC is my choice. Thank you very much. Great job.

I love the flat controls and... Icon lists without ridiculous rounded corners!! at last

I'm also a fan of Nebula though

Guys, I downloaded the 2.1.1 version and I don't find the Blue theme announced in another thread. I have Isengard beta.

I also would like to change the main screen background. I don't like this background pattern. just the only think I don't like. Can I change it?

Regards

Color themes aren't included with the skin anymore. Instead, there is a color picker in skin settings so you can set your preferred highlight, background, and dialog colors. You should be able to pick colors that will be very close to the blue theme posted in the other thread.

And Bryan, since Isengard is still a far away land for those of us in the stable release, can you please please please make the blue theme available to us slumming with HelixHuh

Try putting this file in your Colors folder...

Bryan, thank you and forgive me....I have a Zotac Zbox running OpenElec (5.0.8). Where am I accessing the 'colors' folder? Thanks again for your patience. I know enough to set-up and customize a Kodi HTPC, but not enough to do some of the things that others presume is common knowledge Wink

I know nothing about OpenElec, but should be in /storage/.kodi/addons/skim.mimic for you...

I think I'm close. I can get to the colors folder. But I can't copy/paste the link. I'm using Max OS X Yosemite. How do I get the XML file inside the colors folder?

Can't you right click the link in your browser and save as?

And for whatever reason, I can copy the link, but the paste option is grayed out when I am in the colors folder.

Oh yeah github links to their page, not directly to the file. Just create a new file and copy/paste the contents of that link into it.
