HGTV (and others) Changing offerings
#1
Okay, first to admit it here - I'm a real newb at all this. I've been setting up Kodi for my wife on a 'mediaPC' I dug out of the closet. I test things on my desktop, then add them to her mediapc.

I added the HGTV add-on to both machines. At one point I added FixerUpper's to my favorite list. When I got around to doing a favorite list for her mediapc, HGTV no longer offered that program in their listings - but the link on mine worked fine and the program started right up.

I figured out how to edit the favourites.xml file and got FixerUppers working on her machine.

So here's the question - is there someplace here in the forums where people have created a list of 'missing links' so others can use them to add to their own system?
This particular example is:

<favourite name="Fixer Upper" thumb="http://hgtvhome.sndimg.com/content/dam/images/hgtv/video/0/02/023/0231/0231344.jpg.rend.hgtvcom.336.252.jpeg">ActivateWindow(10025,"plugin://plugin.video.hgtv/?mode=GE&name=Fixer%20Upper&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.hgtv.com%2fshows%2ffixer-upper%2ffixer-upper-full-episodes-videos",return)</favourite>

You actually lost the program because of a bug in the addon where it doesn't "see" the first program on the programs page - thanks. I'll fix this in the few days. In general, it's probably not a good idea to spend too much time (at least with my addons) trying to preserve old links. They may work for a short period after they disappear from an index page, but it's hit or miss.
