Hello, thank's for your answer.
I wonder why there is not a ISO with Isengard. it's pity because it 's a very good way to populate the Windows's users community (like me).
I just follow your apt-get command and now I have a nice kodi 15.1 isengard BUT before it autostarted kodi. Now, autostart doesn't work anymore.
So my children are a little bit lost.
I follow few steps to modify /etc/init/... and /usr/x11/... but it's not working for me. It's not userfriendly for basic users without linux abilities.
So just an advice to the kodi communities : You make amazing tools but it's hard to follow you. Communication is one of the main point to deal your work.
For example, stop the link on kodi.tv where you download the kodi 14.0 instead of 15.0 or 15.1 and explain the way way to upgrade clearly like David1977 does.
Thanks guys and anyway, that's a good good work you do.
Cheers Luc

Its the same OS base, so no need to make a new ISO when the application is perfectly good to be updated like all apps do in Linux.
Its also pointless to point out obvious things like that, its common knowledge and its up to users to educate themselves since the information comes up all over documentation on wiki on the forums to ad nauseam and duplicating it yet again isnt necessarily the best thing.
That said the main website is somewhat a jumble and that download page looks like the back of a bad accident and other website areas could be a lot better organized.

I also agree there should be an iso. I like doing fresh installs. I hate having to install old packages and then upgrade them all afterwards.

Thats just a waste of man hours and bandwidth, but oh well, if you insist on feeding your brand of OCD, then feel free anyone to take the source and build the iso yourselves.

I do agree with others here that it should not be that obfuscated on how to and upgrade! 14.0 telly you there is an upgrade available it should be able to do it at the same time!
That being said Davis1977's post #2 is like butter! Just incorporated it into my install process!

If you don't feel comfortable using apt-get, you really shouldn't be using kodibuntu or Linux for that matter

I believed the purpose of kodibuntu was to democratise XBMC.
But one more time, if it is only for people which are comfortable with apt-get, keep your time and let them install Ubuntu + XBMC.
If you really want to make it simple for every one, do the job until the end :
no need of command line, just a button to launch the command of david1977 and it will be done.
