Linux Wake on LAN starts HTPC again after shutting down
#1
Hello,

I have Kodibuntu running on my HTPC where I recently set up wake on LAN following the instructions posted here . While it works great, I am experiencing an issue when I sometimes shutdown the system, it will instantaneously power back on again, to which I shut it down again and it stays powered off. This however doesn't always occur. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on what could be causing this? I am using Yatse on Android as a remote.

I have the same problem for years now and i´ve learned to live with it,

I have a zbox id18 connected to a fritz box. (i had different fritz boxes in the past)

When i start Kodibunt via WOL and shut the system down it reboots after 2 or 3 seconds. When i shut it down again after the reboot it doesn´t reboot again.

The system is also shutting down without any problems when i start it by pressing the htpc´s power button.

Btw. i don´t think that this problem is Kodi related. Wink

I ended up installing a more updated version of my network driver and it seemed to have fixed the issue.
