Sounds like TVheadend. Moving to that support forum.

The default pvr backend is VDR, not tvheadend.
Go to addons-services and see what's enabled.

To get started you need to 1) install the unofficial addon repository, 2) install tvheadend (unless you want to use vdr) and 3) disable vdr (if you don't want to use it), otherwise tvheadend won't be able to use your tuners.

Hi,
Thanks for the info on where to find the correct Add-ons. Now able to access http:<OpenElec>:9981 and see the TV adapter. Got Muxes, Services but no Mux Schedulers under CONFIGURATION -> DVB INPUTS. All my locals channels and more are listed. Also, under CONFIGURATION -> CHANNELS/EPG lists many channels.
PVR backend was installed but disabled. Likewise for PVR client.
However, I am stuck there. Still not seeing any OTA TV. When I select the STATUS tab I get only a single line entry under stream (Panasonic MN88436 : ATSC #0). I assume I should see many representing all my channels. It keeps disabling my TVheadEnd client. When I enable it, it disappears from my Add-Ons.
In the OpenElec main menu bar on my TV I don't have a TV option showing up. Not sure if I have to enable it somewhere or if it appears once everything is working right.
Thanks, Rich

All,
Got it working now.
Despite the default PVR being disabled the OTA TV feature did not work. Once I completely removed both the default PVR server and client, OTA TV started working and TV showed up on Main menu on my TV.
Thanks, Rich

Hi,
I'm interested in these. Where does it save TV recordings to? Over network? Is it easy to configure? I guess it must be, as they have so little onboard storage.
Best,
Mark
