Just a quick note to let people know about a problem I had, and how I fixed it...
Kodi 15.1 was working fine, with DTS-HD MA & TrueHD audio being passed thru to my AVR correctly, on the following system:
HP Pavilion Mini, Windows 8.1, Onkyo HT-RC430 AVR, Samsung F6300 LED LCD TV.
About a week ago I did a factory reset of the TV for other issues, but Kodi kept working fine. I decided to install Win 10, which went ok, but DTS-HD MA & TrueHD no longer passed through, and were not shown in the Windows sound properties box. Installing the latest Intel drivers didn't fix the problem.
After panicking and re-installing Win 8.1 (which DID NOT fix the problem) I Googled the hell out of the issue and finally found a thread that mentioned a problem with CEC being enabled on the TV causing a passthrough problem.
So, I disabled CEC on the TV (which had been disabled in the past, but must have been re-enabled when I reset the TV), and now DTS-HD & TrueHD passthrough again.
Hope this helps someone in the future :-)
