The Xbox as two clock sources, one for the ram clock ( 200mhz ) and another one for the fsb ( 133 ) that is independent of the first.
The memory throughput is mostly unafected by a fsb change.
Changing the fsb affects the bandwith available between the north bridge and the cpu, as seen on this document : ftp://publications.ai.mit.edu/ai-publica...02-008.pdf
so maybe a slowdown when writing to the gpu ?
I was thinking on getting a socket 370 board, one P3 733, one P3 1ghz and one celeron 1.4, installing win2000 on it and doing some benchmarking on those files using mplayer ? what do you think?
I actually have all the cpu's above, I'm just missing the motherboard.. but nothing that cannot be arranged
