Suscription is only needed if you want to be able to passthru HD-audio , or use bd menu navigation

Bluray menu is still buggy , 3d will not play that way ( play main tittle enables 3D )

HD-audio is supposed to be passed thru HDMI , for some reason , it never ever worked for me ( dolby truhd , atmos , digital work , dts dts-hd doesnt ) , but spdif passthru works fine

There are some features that are not working using vidonplayer core , like interlacing options , image zise , and pixel ratio ( all are working fine if vidonplayer core is unchecked )

I am not that familiar with kodi source , i need a few days to look at the source and understand it , and understand what is done there , i still need to figure why the GUI is working at 5fps ( video play fine , 3D play fine , passthru works fine ) What media player are you using?

This is "Vidon XBMC" Jarvis , with some little teaks ....

All the "PRO" features are now free ... no membership needed , no login needed anymore
BD menu , DTS-HD , TRUEHD pass thru , works
Automatic screen refresh rate change based on FPS , works
switching to 3D if you choose to play the 3D version from the bluray menu (when both 3D and 2D choices are in the movie menu) , works
the Recommended add ons "hack" no one asked for , removed
automatic upload without asking of user stats , "user record" and user report , removed (every time you started it) (Customers are not supposed to be QA)
GUI fps is back to normal (60 fps)
now you can choose which player you want to use (DVDPLAYER or VDMPLAYER) (Long click )

just make sure "use Vidon core" is disabled (by default now)

this is the 1st quick clean , there is still more to clean there

Binary add ons failed to build (Kodi-platform) therefore no pvr add ons there (workaround , is to manually copy it from the official kodi jarvis apk )

We actually need the modified Kodi / VidOn source code for you to be GPL compliant...if using Linux, just roll it up into a tarball:

Hi Trigu75,

I installed it on my Vidon box but the hd audio passthrough didn´t work (which is the main feature for me). All the other "pro" features worked fine.

Do you have another version that i can try? Maybe the last oficial version for the vidon box (15.2.2).

PLEASE, i really need it.

...which was the reason VidOn discussion was frowned on. Also because VidOn was charging for the Pro version, and seen as making money off Kodi's work.

But, w/code shared, and GPL complied with (from what I understand), there should not be a problem anymore? Them charging would be no different than MrMC I'd think.

Reason for asking is that some of us are testing a promising new media player from eGreat (A5, A10) that uses VidOn to provide BD menu support, HD audio and 3D MVC.
