Hi all,

I've done some testing in Kodi 16 Beta 5 around external forced subtitles and have the following results.

Files named movie.forced.srt do not load
Files named movie.english.forced.srt do load

SUB and IDX files are both recognised as external subtitle files, if the files are movie.english.forced.sub/idx the subtitles do load.

SUP files do not load regardless of the name.

Is this to be expected or should the subtitles load without the language specified and should SUP files load?

Ok so I've looked into this further and it's related to the language set for the audio stream within the video file

This always works with .forced in an external .srt
Stream #0:1: Audio: dts (DTS-HD MA), 48000 Hz, 5.1(side), fltp (default)
But this needs the english.forced from 16.0 beta 5 onwards (up to last nights v17 nightly)
Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: dts (DTS-HD MA), 48000 Hz, 5.1(side), fltp (default)

Is this a bug or a new feature and does the documentation need updating?
