MIDIs w/ Timidity
#1
So here's the thing.

I've been using the new feature to play back MIDI files.
I _so_ love it.

Regretfully after about ten songs it doen't play back any music anymore.
Navigation is still intact. When selecting a song, the system remains silent.
After restating XBMC, all is well again.

Is this intended behaviour, to protect users from listening to too many MIDIs at a time?

Debug log not (yet) provided, due to me being a lazy fuck.

i'm trying to configure timidity in xmbc. I've put eawpatch into q:\system\timidity
but nothing happens. When i try to read a .mid file it give me an error.

I' also tryed to edit tidimity.cfg... but nothing happens.
#on my debian: /usr/local/share/timidity/timidity.cfg
dir /home/user/eawpats/
source gravis.cfg
source gsdrums.cfg
source gssfx.cfg
source xgmap2.cfg
#dir /home/user/patches/

#mid -> wav: timidity input.mid -Ow1S -s 44100 -o output.wav

Any idea?

From the manual:

http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/PAPlayer

Quote:Put configuration file at q:\system\players\paplayer\timidity\timidity.cfg

Thats where the .pat files go, too.

You might want to grab
XBMC-SVN_2007-04-20_rev8582-T3CH-MIDI.rar
to see the directory structure. It's available at T3CHs site.

.kar files are played but identically to .mid files, without the embedded lyrics.

An MP3 with an accompanying .cdg file is played correctly and the lyrics are displayed on screen.
You need the files <Yoursongtitlehere>.mp3 and <Yoursongtitlehere>.cdg for each song.

To only enable the microphone, it's enough to create a zero length file named <Yoursongtitlehere>.cdg

In case you have more questions, I suggest you open a new thread in the support forum, this forum is for bug reports, only. Wink
