i have recently tried to install Jarvis on to my pc but my antivirus program is saying that there is a trojan in the package and won't allow the install

THREAT DESCRIPTION
TROJAN.GENERICKD.3016333
DETAILS
Category: Malware
Type: Trojan
Platform: W32
Aliases: Trojan.GenericKD.3016333
SUMMARY
Trojan.GenericKD.3016333 is ransomware that encrypts files stored on the affected device and demands payment of a ransom.

Is this a genuine problem or is it just my anti-virus throwing one

Which AV program? And where are you downloading it from, our mirror servers (via the link at the top of the page here)?

We've had a few reports like this lately.

Which AV program is it? You haven't said yet.

The download is from our site, so I'm in agreement with nickr that is a false positive, but it would be useful to know if it's the same AV as the previous ones we've had lately.

Try and update your virus signatures and the antivirus program and see if the problem persists

if you still feel really unsure use virustotal to check the files you wanna download
https://www.virustotal.com/

uses over 40 different antivirus programs signature to scan and detect malware

but i highly doubt that there is an issue just likely false positives and an outdated signature database for F-Secure

Thanks for the help , after sending the error report to F-Secure they have installed an update today and this seems to have resolved the problem.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused
