Yes. gdb will use use the current PC and SP and try to unwind them.
If either have been corrupted then you might expect garbage out.
Normally it is obviously garbage (like just a single entry as unwinding fails sanity checks) but I guess if you are unlucky it could produce some vaguely correct looking.
