Did anyone notice that omxplayer is far more stable than mmal for live tv usage? I'm yet to find a build that doesn't crash/lockup/reboot within 72 hours when using mmal. Switched to omxplayer a few days ago and so far so good. The only issue is much slower channel switching (when switching from one HD channel to another).

There have been some recent reliability issues with audio resampling (which affect mmal but not omxplayer).
Can you try changing audio settings to see if any make it reliable?
Things like threshold for atempo resampling, GPU resampling, Adjust PLL, passthrough, sync playback to display.

Does disabling deinterlace help?
Does disabling all acceleration help? (may only work for SD channels).

Tonight it crashed with omxplayer (no crashlog, out-of-memory in system log). I already tried every possible setting.
I now switched from Tvheadend to VDR, hopefully this will improve stability.
