In OpenELEC, it works only with mplay2, so was using the same. I did try ftdi driver as well but the same result. Do you need logs using ftdi ?

One thing to mention: when I run the command (as part of the "autostart.sh") I get this warning:

The very same warning I get using "mplay2" driver as well.
