v15 Any add-ons with sports TV channels to watch the tennis French Open?
#1
Hello!

I just signed up, this is my first question because I just started using Kodi. So please bear with me, since I am not very computer-wise. I'd appreciate it.

I use a Fire TV stick. But if necessary (tv channels not available on there) I would try and install Kodi on my Windows 8.1 laptop.

This is what I use: Fire OS 5.0.5.1 Kodi 15.2

I am NOT located in the United States and I don't use a VPN because seemingly they are all non-compatible with Fire TV stick.

It seems ESPN will not broadcast the French Open this time. Confused So I'm asking suggestions on live TV add-ons from any country where this tournament may be broadcasted live. Hopefully in English, but I'd watch it even if it is in another language. Also, please suggest any add-ons that carry US TV channels that include ESPN and others and hopefully don't charge a monthly subscription fee.

I would even pay a subscription to the Tennis channel, or any other similar channel, if it were available on a Kodi add-on, just to watch the Grand Slam and Masters 1000 tennis tournaments, in English.

If my question is out of place, I apologize. I read the terms of use, and I think this is a legit question for this forum, so if it is not, (moderators) please kindly direct me to the right place.

Thanks in advance

Viviane B.

Kodi does not provide any content. Some of the add-ons available on http://addons.kodi.tv/ require a valid cable/satellite subscription so you will not get any help on this forum getting for free what others are paying for.

I never said or implied that I want to get for free what others are paying for. And I do have cable service, PAID FOR, which includes ESPN, but the channels are not in English because I'm not currently living in the US or any other country where English is the official language.

My question was if there's any available add-ons with live TV where I can watch the French Open live and I hope somebody addresses my question and helps me, instead of misinterpreting my words and scolding me in my very first post. I did mention that I am willing to pay for the service, if it does cover the tournaments I'm interested in, and the broadcasting is in English. So please don't treat me as a free-loader because you misinterpreted my whole post and just fixed your attention on a small part of it to make it sound like I am requesting something that I am not. Thanks.

Fair enough but if you read again what you stated, especially the part I quoted, you can understand how that could have been misconstrued.

Ustvnow add-on and subscription could work

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.

True. Indeed Limited coverage on NBC.
More info:

French Open

NBC Sports and Tennis Channel have the contracts through 2024. Coverage is aired on NBC, NBCSN, Tennis Channel and DirecTV.
Tennis Channel shows live coverage in the morning and afternoon on weekdays. NBC shows weekend morning and Memorial Day early round matches in the afternoon via tape delay. If a match is still being played, it will be shown live. Tennis Channel cannot show NBC's tape delayed matches. NBC also airs one women's semifinal and one men's semifinal, broadcasting live in the Eastern Time Zone, delayed in all other time zones.

I couldn't find it in my list of video add-ons (Eurosport Player). Is it supposed to be a Kodi video add-on?

I can't recommend an add-on but have a look for something playing ITV 4 (uk free channel).
Maybe the filmon pvr add-on from here? Never tried it, but worth a go.
There's another filmon add-on around but it's from a banned repo so not supported here - and there may well be other add-ons that stream it.

You need to use the Android app :
http://www.amazon.com/Eurosport-SA-Player/dp/B009NG9EEU
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...ort.player (but this one is irrelevant on Amazon devices without Play Store)

Please note, you need an Eurosport Player subscription :

As others have said if you're in an area Eurosport operates in you can watch the French Open on that service, the Kodi addon can be found in the Kodi video addons repository or alternatively here https://github.com/JinRonin/plugin.video...portplayer
In my country Eurosport costs £6:99 a month or £29:99 for 12 months, other territories may vary.
Alternatively if you're in the UK you can watch this tournament on ITV 4.
If you're located in the USA I believe you can watch it on NBC, the Kodi NBC Sports addon is here https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...light=nbcs
You can also watch on tennis.tv (paid subscription don't know how much) which has no Kodi addon that I know of but I think has a Fire TV app (as does NBC Sports)
